・休みの表現（類似単語）について調べてみました。

★break：仕事、授業の合間に挟む小休憩や短い休暇

               ex) You can take a break at three, not before.

★vacation：

　　　　　（米）仕事、学校のない長期、短期の休暇や休暇旅行

　　　　　（英）通例大学の休暇、法廷の休廷期間

               ex) Where are you going for your vacation?

★holiday：国の祝日

　　　　　（米）年末年始の祝日が続く期間

　　　　　（英）仕事、学校のない長期、短期の休暇や休暇旅行

               ex) I get 20 paid holidays a year.

★leave：祝祭日に関わらず、出産や育児などを理由にとる休暇

               ex) She is maternity leave at the moment.

★rest：疲労や病気などから回復するための休息

★day off：病気による休暇、1週間のうち仕事に従事しなくてよい日
